Day 1 ~ Saturday, August 25, 2012: Fly from Charlotte, NC, via Dallas, TX, to Vancouver, Canada

Thanks to Clay & Donna for taking us to the airport in Charlotte. When we arrived at 6:00 AM, we were told our American Airlines flight was delayed til 2:00 PM & might not even leave then. Fortunately the clerk was able to get us on a US Airways flight to Dallas - but only after we invoked the trump card, "We made our reservations through Princess & have to board a ship this afternoon." (Next time we'll go a day early, like we did in 2011 on our Scandinavian trip.)

We had a mini-tour of Vancouver during the bus ride from the airport to the ship.

It was such a dreary, rainy, cold, gray day that the Princess video for the day shows a few minutes of our trip, then switches to a bright, sunny day on a cruise a few weeks before ours. Although glaciers were being identified on the PA system, we saw only one and don't know which one it was.
